Part Time Evening BHS Stages Courses
BHS Stage 1 Riding and/or Stable Management courses are held on a Thursday
(with Anna Davey) and Wednesday (with Debbie Hockaday) evenings:
7-8pm lecture. (practical or theory covering the BHS stage 1 syllabus) Available for those wanting to take the BHS Stage 1 exam or for those simply wanting to
learn how to manage and care for the horse.
8-9pm class ride suitable for riders who have started to jump.
This is the first of the British Horse Society qualifications and can be taken by anyone 15 years and over, who would either like to achieve basic horse knowledge
or who wish to gain further qualifications in the horse industry. This is an ongoing course, which is charged weekly.
BHS Stage 2 Riding and/or Stable Management courses are to be held on a Wednesday evening 7-9pm.
7-8pm Lecture Suitable for those who have passed their BHS Stage 1 exam, or for those simply wanting to learn more on the management and care of horses. Theory
Practical lectures working from the BHS Stage 2 syllabus.
8-9pm class ride suitable for those riders who have passed their stage 1 or 2 riding.

Children's Day Courses
Held during each school holiday for 4 days, Tuesday to Friday. These are aimed at children who are 8 years of age and over and capable of independent walk and
trot. The course is designed to improve their riding and increase their knowledge of pony care. The children receive 2 hours of riding instruction per day as well
as lectures and practicals on the care of the pony. Gymkhana games will be included during the ride in the afternoon. Rosettes will be awarded to all children on
